The 5S Project Responsible file

      • The scheme of the full behavior process (Plan Do Check Act) of the 5S project:
        • the scope is to offer a global vision of the project and a good perception of the importance of each stage of the PDCA for the success of the pilot site.
        • The 11 stages to follow for the 5S Project Responsible:
        • it is a guide that details step by step the action of the 5S Project Responsible.
        • this document is by itself a standard that will possibly be improved for the generalization stage of the 5S.
      • The leader's guide :
        • it gives the chronological course of each of the elementary sequences of the training-action, the purpose of each sequence, the necessary documents.
        • this guide is the insurance of the quality of the training, it guarantees the rhythm and the transmission of all the necessary messages for the complete comprehension of the 5S.
      • The model of Communication board (see an extract) :
        • the 6 boards in this table are to be displayed in the pilot area of the site.
        • it is an essential communication tool. It is accessible to all, to use in the Group and to follow the results of the site.
      • The ensemble of operational forms :
        • the quotation sheets for the workshop and the office, the validation of stages, the audit of the action, field applications.
        • these documents are the necessary operational tools for the efficient implementation of the 5S.
        • they are distributed to the group members at the moment of the field applications and to follow the good course of the action.
      • The educational game of the 5S :
        • during the training, this game illustrates the importance of each S and the order in which they must be applied.
        • of brief duration (20 min) it creates a favorable ambiance and reinforces the collective motivation.
      • The red label model :
        • for the application of the 1st S (Elimination phase), this label includes two parts and some labels, that facilitate the decision making and the follow-up of the actions concerning the objects observed during the field applications.

      • contains behavior rules to be validated with the Group.
      • is an important help for the trainer for receiving and regulating exchanges.

        • The behavior methodology of the project and the Leader role, detailed in 10 elementary stages (see an extract)
        • The supplementary file on the elements and terms of generalization of the 5s action.
        • A synthesis file on the other tools of the Lean Manufacturing (SMED, TPM, Hoshin, Suggestions System, Kanban, Autonomous Teams) and the terms for their application.
      • Each month you will receive by e-mail a resume of the advice and examples of best practices for applying the 5S and the other tools of the Lean Manufacturing.
      • You will also be able, if you wish to become part of our editors.
      • A difficulty, a question, an explanation of a successful practice, this forum in French will be for you a source of information available 24h/24 in order to help you implement the 5S.
      • You will also have access to Questions/Answers.

      The ensemble of these documents, printed in an A4 format, connected into a workbook constitute the manual of the 5S Project Responsible
